Tammy Lea Kempf, age 55, of Manawa, died unexpectedly on Sunday, March 6, 2016, the result of an automobile accident. She was born on November 8, 1960 in Waupaca, daughter of Delvern Fahser and Della (Roloff) Grafton. Tammy graduated from Waupaca High School in 1979. She married Daniel Kempf at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca. He preceded her in death on November 14, 2013. Tammy was a stay-at-home mom for many years and started an in-home daycare. She also worked as a cook with the Manawa School District and then with special needs children, where she found her passion. Tammy enjoyed working with 4H, gardening, hobby farming, camping and canning. She especially enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters, family, friends and animals. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Symco.
Tammy is survived by her children: Katie (Andrew) Mortenson; Holly (Ryan) Marquardt; Rodney Kempf; granddaughters: Amelia and Emily Mortenson; Ella and Hattie Marquardt; she is further survived by her parents: Delvern (Joan) Fahser and Della (Lee Menzer) Grafton, siblings: Scott (Tami) Fahser, Daniel (Michell) Fahser, Chris (Lana) Fahser, Michael (Laura Otterson) Fahser; sister-in-law, Marlene (Philip) Aggen, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Tammy was preceded in death by her husband Daniel and her mother-in-law and father-in-law Hilbert and Helen Kempf.
The funeral service for Tammy will be held on Friday, March 11, 2016 at 11:00am at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Symco (N7534 Church St.) with Rev. Jeffrey Smiles officiating. A visitation for Tammy will be held on Thursday at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Manawa from 4-7pm and on Friday at the church from 9:30 am until the time of the service. Burial will be in Little Wolf Cemetery, Town of Little Wolf. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
