Steven P. Dion, age 63, of Manawa, formerly of New Berlin, passed away on Wednesday, October 3, 2018. He was born on February 12, 1955 in New London, Connecticut, son of Donald and Carol Dion. He graduated from New Berlin West High School. While living in New Berlin, he volunteered in the New Berlin Fire Department. Steven was a true Wisconsinite. He enjoyed the outdoors and hunting and fishing. He loved listening to the Brewers games and watching the Green Bay Packers and the Wisconsin Badgers. He is survived by his sons: Joseph and Peter; mother: Carol Dion; siblings: Lorie (Stan) Kaminski, Donald Dion Jr. and Kris (Sue) Dion. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Donald Sr., a brother Bryan Dion and a nephew Jared Dion. A Memorial Mass that will celebrate Steve’s life will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manawa (614 S. Bridge St.) with Fr. Xavier Santiago officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
