Mary Bruesewitz

Mary C. Bruesewitz, 89 of Menasha, died peacefully at ANEW Choice Care on January 19, 2018. Mary was born in Neenah, WI on September 25, 1928, the daughter of Herman and Marie (Kuepper) Hopfensperger. On October 15, 1951, she married Paul Bruesewitz at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Appleton, WI. Paul preceded Mary in death in 2003. Mary enjoyed baking, family, and spending time in prayer.

Mary is survived by her children, Marie (Bruce) Schramm, Diane (Joel) Hietpas, and LeRoy (Laurie) Bruesewitz; 11 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her brother, Anthony (Lorraine) Hopfensperger; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, David Bruesewitz and Mike Bruesewitz; and grandson, David Jr. Bruesewitz.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 26, 2018, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Appleton, with Fr. Bill Swichtenberg officiating. Family and friends are invited to visit with the family directly at church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Weyauwega.

The family would like to sincerely thank the nurses and staff at both ANEW Choice Care Facility and Asera Care Hospice for the tender care given to Mary.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
