Lyle Much

January 2, 1960 — February 18, 2023

Lyle Thomas Much, age 63 of Manawa, passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at Theda Care Regional Medical Center-Appleton with his family by his side. Lyle was born on January 2, 1960 in Iola, Wisconsin to Alvin and Linda (Braatz) Much. Lyle was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter's Lutheran Church of Big Falls. Lyle attended Little Wolf High School and was in the Class of 1978 where he was active in FFA. On February 24, 1979, Lyle was united in marriage to Nina (Riske) Much. They raised a son Matthew, daughter Miranda, and goddaughter Karen. In 2013, Lyle and Nina parted ways. On October 23, 2018, Lyle married Lisa Buchert and with her, raised a daughter Faith, step-daughter Ashley, and step-son Winter. Lyle and Lisa parted ways in 2021.

Lyle was a farmer for a good portion of his life. He was also employed at Trail-ET as a Brake Press Operator and Welder/Fabricator for many years, along with helping out as a farm-hand on other farms. Later in life he worked for Torborg's Lumber as a delivery driver. He retired from Hawk Trailers in 2022 to enjoy spending time with his children and grandchildren. Lyle enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and horseback riding. Lyle was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and loved his food!

Lyle is survived by a son: Matthew Much; two daughters: Miranda (Josh) Smith and Faith Buchert-Much. Lyle is also survived by his grandchildren: Anthony, Mark, Angelina, Tiffanie, Emma; great-grandson: Leroy; goddaughter: Karen (Kevin) Zarling, siblings: Melvin (Linda) Much and Terry Much. Lyle is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins along with many extended family friends.

Lyle was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings: Roger (Sharon) Much and Duane Much.

The funeral service for Lyle will be held at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Symco, on Friday, March 3, 2023 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Jeffrey Smiles officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 9:00 AM - 10:45 AM. Interment will be in the Roseland Cemetery in the Town of DuPont.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff at Theda Care Regional Medical Center-Appleton for their wonderful care of Lyle.

In Lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Lyle's memory to assist with funeral expenses.
