LaVern 'Lape' Leupold

LaVern “Lape” Arnold Leupold, age 92, a life-long resident of Weyauwega, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2020, at his residence after a long illness. LaVern was born on January 15, 1928, to the late Louis and Martha (Pigorsch) Leupold in the Town of Weyauwega. He was united in marriage to Patricia Radtke-Allen on July 15, 1979, at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Weyauwega. LaVern worked for WE Energies for 40 years until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time at North Fork.

LaVern is survived by his wife, Patricia; children, Carol (Roy) Toepke, Larry (Linda) Leupold, Susan (Mark) Kaufman, Barbara (Daniel) Kempf, Brenda (Ken) Bell and Holly Allen (special friend, Joyce Marquez); many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Velda Grancorbitz and nephews, Gary Grancorbitz and Jeffrey (Sonia) Grancorbitz.

LaVern was preceded in death by his parents.

The funeral for LaVern will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 18, 2020, at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Weyauwega with Rev. Aaron Kristopeit officiating. The visitation for LaVern will take place directly at the church from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Weyauwega.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
