Jeannine R. Pankow

Jeannine R. Pankow, age 90, went to her heavenly home on January 9, 2023 at Monarch Meadows in New London, WI. She was born on September 6, 1932, in New London, WI, daughter of the late Earl & Edna (Tornow) Thoma.

She graduated from New London High School in 1950, and then went to work at AAL in Appleton, WI for 8 years. On June 14, 1958, she was united in marriage to Rev. Leonard Pankow. They were blessed with seven children.

She truly enjoyed being a Pastor's wife, being Mom to her 7 children, and Grandma to her many grandchildren. She was a member of St. Peter Ladies Aid, and a past member of St. Peter Senior Choir and Bell Choir. Over the years, she enjoyed gardening and canning, crafting, sewing, volunteering at the Bargain Garden, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Jeannine is survived by her children: Dean (Laura), Douglas (LeAnne), Susan (Steve) Prillwitz, Timothy (Linda), Ruth (Steve) Behm, Beth Eick, Thomas (Michele); many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law Glen (Jan) Pankow, two sisters-in-law, Carol (Rodney) Dietsche, Jane (Carl) Landwehr; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brothers Earl, Wesley, David & Ronald Thoma, sisters Donna (Rohloff) & Betsy (Stephan), 3 brothers-in-law, and 2 sisters-in-law.

The Christian Funeral for Jeannine will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 11:00 am at St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church, Weyauwega, WI with Rev. Aaron Kristopeit officiating. Burial will be in Floral Hill Cemetery, New London. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9:00 am until 10:45 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church.

The family wishes to thank the many staff and caregivers at Monarch Meadows for the loving care given to Mom over the last couple of years.
