Florence E. Landon

Florence E. Landon, age 95, of Waupaca, formerly of Port Wing, WI, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, WI. She was born on July 25, 1922 in Exeland, WI. On June 28, 1941 she married James Landon. He preceded her in death in 2008. Florence farmed in the Port Wing area with her husband for over 40 years. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Port Wing. Florence loved her family, was an excellent cook, enjoyed gardening, quilting and working in her flower garden. Florence is survived by her daughter, Shirley (William) Sexton; grandchildren, Shelly (Jon) Wertschnig and their children, Josphine and Gwen, Ryan (Ellen) Sexton and their son Adam and Stacey (Gary) Petroff, and their son, Blake. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Florence was preceded in death by her parents; husband and sisters, Alice and Christie. The funeral service for Florence will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Ainsworth Hall Chapel, Wisconsin Veteran's Home in King with Pastor Wayne Schwanke officiating. Visitation will take place at Ainsworth Hall from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Weyauwega. The family wishes to thank the 3rd floor staff at Ainsworth Hall for their loving care.
