Elna Mae Knickerbocker, age 86, of Manawa, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2022. She was born on May 21, 1935 in the Town of Union, daughter of the late Leo and Erna (Ernst) Wohlrabe. Elna attended schools in Manawa. She was an Army wife and mother raising 4 boys and 4 girls. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, baking and taking care of many day care children over the years.
She is survived by her children: Linda (Mike) Edge, Norma Jones, Celeste Knickerbocker, Roger Knickerbocker, Robert Knickerbocker, William Knickerbocker and Joseph Knickerbocker Jr; siblings: Norma Sutton, Jean Much, Lola Beyersdorf. She is further survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Joseph Knickerbocker Sr., daughter Judith; brothers Bud and Ken Wohlrabe; sister: Elaine Moe.
