Donald W. Dey

Donald W. Dey, age 81, passed away on Monday, October 15, 2018 at Bethany Home in Waupaca surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 24, 1936 in New London son of the late Donald F. and Lydia (Hafner) Dey. On August 3, 1957, Don was united in marriage to Elizabeth Danke. He farmed in Hortonville for 16 years. Don worked for Shiocton Lumber, Weyauwega Co-op and then ran his own sawmill. He was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed fishing, hunting and trap shooting.

He is survived by his wife Elizabeth; children: Katherine (James) Sweetalla, Hortonville; Cindy (Craig) Davison, New London; Lynn (Kevin) Johnson, New London; Douglas (Christine) Dey, New London; Thomas Dey (fiancée, Darlene Zeutzius), Seymour; sisters, Karen (Otto) Hodel, Manawa and Shirley (Ronald) Johnson, Wausau. Don is further survived by twelve grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

His parents and a son Donald preceded him in death.

Funeral services for Don will be held on Friday, October 19, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Peters Lutheran Church, Weyauwega with Rev. Dennis Lemke and Rev. Aaron Kristopeit officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be held in the Floral Hill Cemetery, New London at a later date.

A memorial fund has been established.
