William E. Sprenger

Age 69, of Manawa, died Sunday, April 30, 2006 at his residence. He was born on May 27, 1936 in the Town of Dupont, Waupaca County, son of the late Charles & Ella (Kretschmer) Sprenger. He married Patsy Fietzer in 1957. They were married 49 years on April 27th. William worked as a licensed cheesemaker, and then farmed in the Town of Union for many years before moving to Manawa. He drove truck for a time for Dupont Cheese before having to retire due to health problems. He is survived by his wife Patsy; his children: Vicki (Calvin) Exum, Paragould, Arkansas; Scott Sprenger, Waupaca; Danny (Heather) Sprenger, Waupaca; Debbie (Mark) Gast, Shawano; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild; two sisters: Ruth Preuss, Manawa; Carol (Joe) Gretzinger, Marion. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends further survive him. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Walter and Melvin, and a sister Ruby (Arthur) Wendt. It was William's wish that private family services be held with Rev. Jeffrey Smiles officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Symco.
