Evelyn Biadasz

Age 87, of Manawa, passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2008 at the home of her daughter with her family by her side after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born on August 8, 1920 in Portage County, daughter of the late Vincent & Frances (Berna) Herek. She attended school in Portage County, then was employed in ilwaukee and Stevens Point. On November 13, 1943 she married Barney Biadasz at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Polonia. They farmed in the Town of Stockton until 1950. They then moved to Manawa retiring in 1980. He preceded her in death on July 25, 1996. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manawa and the Altar Society. She did volunteer work at the church, Manawa Nursing Home, Meals on Wheels and the Blood Mobile. She loved gardening, flowers, her family and friends. She is survived by a daughter, Theresa Huebner, Weyauwega; two sons: Marvin (Jo Ellen), Tigerton; James (Brenda), Marion. One grandson: Scott (Angela) Huebner, a great-granddaughter Emerson all of Appleton; a step-granddaughter Erin Mares and 3 step-great grandchildren, Andy, Amelia and Autumn all of New London; three sisters: Eleanor Golomski, Wittenberg; Frances Wanta and Delores Yenter of Stevens Point; two brothers: Edwin (Verona) Herek and Vincent Herek of Stevens Point, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five sisters, two brothers and a son-in-law. The Funeral Mass for Evelyn will be held on Monday, July 7, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manawa with Fr. Bert Samsa OFM Cap officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday, July 6, 2008 from 4-8 p.m. at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Manawa and on Monday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
