Beulah J. Starchaska Age 78 of Manawa, Wisconsin, died unexpectedly at Riverside Medical Center, on Saturday, November 03, 2012. Beulah was born in Waupaca, Wisconsin, on October 10, 1934, daughter of the late August and Hazel (Swan) Hoppe. Beulah graduated from Little Wolf High School and on June 5, 1953, she married Gene Starchaka. They shared 59 special years together. Beulah worked 15 years for Swickers in Waupaca and then 16 years as a cook at St. Joseph's Residence in New London before her retirement. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, and feeding her loyal squirrels. Beulah is survived by her husband, Gene; son, Bruce Starchaska; sister-in-law, Nellie Starchaska; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; and son, Thomas. A memorial service for Beulah will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 9, 2012, at First Lutheran Church, 700 Main St., Ogdensburg, with Pastor Tim Lofgren officiating. Family and friends are invited to visit at the church Wednesday evening from 5 until 7 p.m. and again on Thursday morning at church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Little Creek Cemetery.
