Biography

Age 80, of Hortonville, passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, on Friday, February 5, 2010 at Appleton Medical Center. He was born on April 25, 1929 in Manawa, son of the late James and Ethel (Stevens) O’Donnell. Tom graduated from Little Wolf High School in Manawa class of 1948. While in high school he enjoyed sports, participating in basketball, football and track. Tom farmed in the Town of Little Wolf until he purchased the Gamble store in Hortonville; it eventually became the Hardware Hank store where both Tom and Betty worked for over 30 years. He was a member of St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Hortonville. Tom loved the outdoors, he enjoyed hunting; and was an avid conservationist and a Ducks Unlimited member for many years. Tom was very proud of his Irish heritage.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Betty; a daughter, Lori Ann (Tim) Meyer, Kimberly; a son, Kevin (Lois) O’Donnell, Madison. His grandchildren: Maxwel, Megan and Gage. He is further survived by a niece and a great niece.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.

Funeral Services for Tom will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 9 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Hortonville with Fr. Msgr. Jim Feely officiating. Burial will be in the Little Wolf Cemetery, Town of Little Wolf. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 8, 2010 from 4-7 p.m. at Borchardt & Moder Funeral Home, Hortonville and on Tuesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
